Recycling

Recycling is a big deal! Quite honestly I believe that if more of us would recycle it would help to keep our planet healthier longer. There are three parts to recycling, it's not just putting cardboard and plastic into the bin. The other two parts are reduce and reuse. If we were to reuse the same glass all day instead of putting it in the sink and getting out a new one each time we wanted a drink we would run the dishwasher less and save water. If we simply turned off the lights when we weren't home or didn't need them and opened the window we could save energy and money(Heaven knows we all need more money)! For those of you who don't know I applied to Utah State University's teaching program, the school of teacher education and leadership, on March 1st. Today my mom called me with the news that I have been accepted into the program for next fall!!! Now I can finally plan my life a little better!! I just wanted to share this oh so exciting news with you all!

Yesterday I got the results of my Praxis II Exam that I took on January 15th. I PASSED with 173 which is 23 points above the 150 that you need to pass! I don't know what it is out of, but hey does it matter? This means I only have to get my background check and finger prints done before I apply to the Elementary Education program at USU and then after I apply I have to have a group interview to finish it all up! One less thing to worry about :) I'm so happy to have passed. In congratulations my roommate Melissa and neighbor Alex got doughnuts! There was a great time had by all after class! Have a great day and I love you all!

It's Been A While

Hey all I know it's been a while so here's an update on my life... I am still at Utah State University and this will be the end of my second year. I am hoping to apply to the Elementary Education Teaching Program this March! That's mostly what's been happening... Not too exciting I know.

This year since we did not go to Washington for Thanksgiving we made Houses out of graham crackers! It was a lot of fun and I believe we all enjoyed it very much. Well finals went well I got decent grades and still have a 3.6 GPA and get to keep my scholarship! Valentines Weekend!

So on the Saturday before Valentine's Day Brock (My new intrest :P) took me to see Avatar in 3D!! Oh my gosh it was awesome!! Then on Valentines day we went to church and watched movies later! It was so much fun then my car died later that week.. Oh man gotta love cars.. NOT! All in all it was a pretty good week! I love you all :D

So updates on my life... I'm back at school for my second semester :) I sucessfully passed my classes and got a 3.6 GPA :) and then Trevor broke up with me.. Oh well. Such is life. But so these are some pictures my mom sent me from Christmas..

Family Home Evening!

So this week for FHE we went to the corn maze! It was so much fun! The only tragic thing is that Eric pushed Megan off the top of the hay bale maze!! (He didn't really push her) So her ankle is a little bit purple.. ok A LOT. She pulled three out of four tendons!!! WOW!! But yeah lol that's family home evening for ya!

Last Night In My Room... Again..

I'm not quite sure why we spend so much time in my room, but that seems to be the way it is. Amanda had gone home for the weekend and it was just the three of us left. I had just come home from hiking! Which was pretty awesome except people keep telling me it's a leisurely stroll.. LIES!! But it was very cool. We(Erika, Jordan, Michael, Gou?(He's Chinese) and I) hiked up to the wind cave. Erika has pictures that she has not yet sent me.. So I will put them up later, but it was fun stuff. So when I got home I was so dead tired and guess what they were doing?!?! Reading that book!! It is not fair that they read without me.. Oh well I guess I'll have to catch up with them! It is a really good book its called Beckon and I plan on buying it when it gets published. Then while I was reading to them, Lorilei decided to give Kaylee corn rows.. those pictures will be up shortly too.. It was pretty funny! Well that was my exciting day yesterday.. :)

Last Night In Our Room

Last night in our room(Lorilei's and mine that is) we were reading Kaylee's Aunt's book! Unpublished! So we get to read it before every one else!! :) Go us, it is a pretty darn good book and we didn't go to bed till twelve because of it! The first picture is Lorilei eating the rest of my popcorn. The second picture is of Kaylee(orange pants) and Amanda(on bean bag).. Kaylee was looking for the rock that I threw at Lorilei and Amanda was amused.. I think. The third picture is my wall... Well I was sitting here at my computer one day after my class and decided I was rather bored.. And while looking at my cousin's bolgs and my family's blogs I decided to make one... I'm really not sure what I am going to put on here, but I'm sure I can find something........like the crazy things I do with my roommates! Woo! Here are some updates of my college life at Utah State! On Wednesday our executive secretary, Jarod.. who is pretty cute, asked me to come meet with Bishop White.. well he asked me if I would accept the calling of Ward Organist and Temporary Accompainst for the choir... I DON'T PLAY THE ORGAN!! So I'm a tad bit nervous about that part of my life. Also I have joined the Sustainablity Council or Recycling Council at my building. A long with that my floor played waterballon volleyball yesterday and I have to say it was pretty darn fun! My RA's name is Kayelee. She's pretty cool. :) Well that's all for now folks :)
